THE LOVERS

The other day they said on TV that some scientists had managed to photograph the black hole that is right in the centre of our galaxy. And we all became even smaller in the face of that primal mystery. They also said that it’s “massive”, a massive black hole, which means it’s so big that there are no adjectives that can measure it compared to anything.

We are floating as small as we are in the Universe, immersed in chaos.

At 27 million light-years away they said that the black hole is located. This is far from as far away as those lovers are. Because they withdrew from the world and from social life. Because they already have more than enough if they are together. And they don’t mind being small, because they are the centre of their universe, and there they are big, massive.
